Our environmental actions in detail

At Camping Figurotta, our eco-responsible approach is based on tangible and measurable actions. Integrated into the natural environment of Bizanet, we have redesigned our infrastructure and management to minimize our ecological footprint. Here are the details of our commitments:

1. Actions for Biodiversity: preserve and restore We promote an autonomous and natural ecosystem throughout our estate:

• Natural biological control: We have installed bat and bird boxes to naturally regulate mosquito and processionary caterpillar populations. In collaboration with the LPO (League for the Protection of Birds), a specific nesting box has been set up to help reintegrate the little owl on the site.
• Support for pollinators and climate adaptation: Insect hotels have been created to foster biodiversity. We are also planting new tree species specifically selected for their resilience to temperature changes: they consume less water, provide natural thermoregulation, and are highly melliferous.
• Eco-grazing and zero chemicals: The maintenance of our green spaces is entrusted to our farm animals. This natural brush clearing allows us to avoid using any chemical products, while ensuring the direct recycling of a portion of our organic waste.

2. Water Management: recycle and avoid all waste In a region where water is a precious resource, we have implemented strict saving and reuse systems:

• Smart recycling: Water from our jacuzzis and swimming pool is never wasted. It is recovered and stored in flexible tanks to supply both our fire defense reserve and our drip irrigation system.
• Anti-waste innovation: Our sanitary blocks are equipped with a continuous hot water circulation system. Hot water is available at the very first press, preventing gallons of cold water from being wasted while waiting.
• Water-saving equipment: The entire campsite is equipped with aerators, water-saving showerheads, and timer systems for showers and water fountains. The runoff from these fountains flows directly back with the rainwater.
• Awareness: We pair these technical devices with targeted communication to our guests, encouraging eco-friendly habits on a daily basis.

3. Electricity: renewable production and smart management We optimize our energy consumption through renewable energies and new technologies:

• Solar energy: Our parking lot is covered with shade structures equipped with solar panels. In addition to providing shade for vehicles, this infrastructure significantly reduces our reliance on the power grid. In just two years, this setup has allowed us to save 90 tons of CO2.
• Reasoned lighting: Outdoor lighting runs on solar energy. All our bulbs are LEDs coupled with motion sensors, ensuring we only illuminate areas when strictly necessary.
• Centralized management: The activation and regulation of air conditioning units and water heaters are managed remotely, preventing unnecessary operation and energy overconsumption.
